3 replies First off, sorry for putting this in english and not german.
Is it possible to create a dedicated server on a computer, and then connect to it on another computer? Every time I try to connect, it gives me a TIME OUT, and yes I port fowarded it. I can of course create a listen server, but is there a way to play with a dedicated server on another computer? Thanks. DC Admin

listen server works but dedicated doesn't work? There is no difference between the net stuff in cs2d when you compare a dedicated server and a normal listen server. The only difference is, that a dedicated server doesn't render the game.
Pretty strange... why don't just create a listen server and spectate? All in all its like a dedicated one.
If both doesn't work it can only depend on the port thingy... The listen works, and the ded DOES work, I just cannot connect to it if it is on the same network. DC Admin Offline
Make sure to use the right IP. Try the LAN and/or the WAN (if it's conneted to the internet) IP by "Join by IP"
