Night Till Death: The reason the guy takes so long with the knife is probably because it's not exactly easy to cut through flesh, bone and ligaments with a relatively primitive weapon/tool. Have you ever tried cutting the head off a cooked pig? If you have, you will know exactly how hard it is. ( Btw, I only did this once and it was only because I was forced to, I did not kill the thing. )
