After 4 years of inactivity I decided to check out my CS2D folder for some stuff that might be interesting.
I found map that I originally made in December 2, 2011 when I was younger and had no idea how to make good maps. But this one might be better than trash that I was making before. I wanted to share it with others.

Note that this version of the map is broken on the updated client of CS2D due to large amount of changes including height settings being added to the tiles. I'm not sure if I will ever get time to fix it.

What is it:
Small half-isometric surrealistic singleplayer map inspired by Silent Hill series and one mobile Java game “Nowhere“ released in 2006.

The main issue with this map is that it's very unbalanced.
I had no idea how unbalanced this map will be when I was working on it at that time so don't be surprised if you will find overpowered weapons or too many enemies for one player. At least this map is still beatable.

I wanted to release original version without any changes.
But included version with slightly nerfed enemies and extra ammo/weapons/medpacks.

Required settings:
Play as CT with infinitive ammo and without bots.
(You can turn off infinitive ammo on rebalanced version)
This map was designed for single-player only.

Please let me know if you will notice that something is missing in archive.

Actually design of the forest part of the map was mostly based on level from mobile java game “Nowhere“. In original game main character “John“ wakes up in the forest, finds an axe in the forest and walks away. Then he finds a way from the forest and walks down the highway until he reaches small cafe. There is nobody inside, but only waitress. John orders a cofee and goes to the bathroom where he finds a small key. He goes back to tell about it to that waitress. But when he gets back there is nobody in cafe... He wants to leave, but in the middle of the room he sees a weird figure in twitching around.. The level ends on this creepy moment. As for “Dark“ area of my map. Well, design really was inspired by Silent Hill: Origins. So basically this map is just a mess based on two cool horror games.
Maybe I will do a remake completely based on “Nowhere“ 2006 because originally I wanted to do so, but I was lacking of mapping skills.

I'm a Silent Hill series fan myself and seeing the map name itself with the (Singleplayer map) tag I automatically assumed its the final area from Silent Hill: Origins.

To my surprise it is based on it, now I'm gonna give this a try and see!
