I'm Buddhist. What is commonly mistaken about Buddhism is that Buddha is G-d like Allah or Jesus, that Buddhists worship. That's actually wrong. Some people also see no difference between Hinduism and Buddhism. The main problem I have with religions like Christianity is the belief in a personal God. While in Buddhism any of us can be Buddha. Being Buddha is yet not being a G-d, is just having a knowledge. Buddhism is more likely to be the way that you realize the life and its components rather than being a religion.
What you see right now happens because people have stopped believing in bullshit that government tells.

I too thought of being atheist but after thinking Islam makes more sense than Atheism to me.
Yes there is some stuff in Islam that makes you think again but still not enough to make you leave islam.
